Singer Helene Blum and violinist Harald Haugaard bring the special atmosphere of the Nordic winter into the concert hall. Their program "Nordic Christmas" celebrates this auspicious time with authentic and lovingly selected pieces and stories.
The Danish musicians and their changing guests skillfully tell of the little moments, and between the notes the audience sees the tracks in the snow, hears the goblins giggling and the reindeer rattling. Time seems to stand still - until the next drum roll sounds and a lively dance begins...

Helene Blum and Harald Haugaard are among the most sought-after Danish names in modern Nordic folk. They demonstrate their keen sense for touching melodies, their versatility and musical depth in their own compositions and with contemporary arrangements of traditional pieces. Dizzyingly fast rhythms or delicately floating sounds, both seem to come together effortlessly. Haugaard's virtuoso violin playing and the band's elegant sound envelop Helene Blum's bright, clear vocals in a wonderfully harmonious way.

This year's guests are once again two fantastic musicians. Oskar Reuter inspires on the guitar and nyckelharpa on stage (including at the renowned Västanå Teater) and in the studio. He comes from Veinge, Sweden and specializes in Nordic traditional and contemporary music. The second guest musician will be announced soon, she comes from Norway and plays Norway's national instrument Hardanger Fiddle. The Nordic Christmas Ensemble 2025 will be completed by cellist Kirstine Elise Pedersen and percussionist Sune Rahbek, both from Denmark and members of the Blum & Haugaard Band. The program draws on the entire wealth of Nordic music.
