Explanatory concert on the Bach cantata BWV 79 "God the Lord is sun and shield"

"Hin und weg!" is the name of the Bachakademie's mobile concert format, with which the Gaechinger Cantorey and Hans-Christoph Rademann travel to various locations in Stuttgart. They always take a Bach cantata with them, which is performed there, then broken down into individual sound samples and explained from a wide variety of perspectives, before being reassembled and performed a second time as a complete work. "Hin und weg!" aims to create a dialog between musicians and audience. At the end, there is always a conversation between listeners and performers about the shared musical experience.
