This evening marks the end of a 5-year journey. His studies at the HMDK, which began in 2019, during which he was able to experience many new things and faced many challenges, are coming to an end.
Felix Eckenfelder - mostly on the road as a sideman - presents himself today with his quartet. Inspired by modern jazz from America, the band only plays its own pieces, mainly by the bandleader. The young musicians impress with a lot of energy and clear, poetic melodies, underpinned by picturesque and detailed rhythms. Their focus is particularly on allowing the listener to share in the clarity and beauty of the music and to sink into it.
