The Bárbara Moreno Duo invites you on a musical journey through Spanish-Latin American folklore. A moving concert and reading dedicated to the legendary singer Mercedes Sosa. As one of the great voices of the Nuevos Cancioneros, Argentina's 'new singer-songwriters', Sosa championed peace, freedom and human rights with South American folklore and political protest songs.
The ensemble consists of singer Bárbara Moreno, a native of the Dominican Republic, and Peruvian guitarist Giancarlo Alemán. Together they present a program that combines traditional and modern compositions of different styles with Latin American and Spanish influences. The duo's music is full of soulful melodies, rousing rhythms, passion and infectious joie de vivre and has already thrilled audiences in many cities.
