Moderator: Astrid Braun | In a small hotel room that becomes a window to the world sits a woman who is thinking about leaving everything behind: her husband, her children, her existence, possibly her life as a whole. Plagued by a vague dissatisfaction and a feeling of being overwhelmed, she accepts a translation job that changes everything for her: Historical letters from German emigrants. Through this exchange with other people's dead, with unexpected biographies, the question of a good life is posed to her in a surprisingly new way.
