IRAN Verborgene Schönheit

Location:
Theaterhaus, Siemensstr. 11, 70469 Stuttgart

Two friends discover Iran. One knows the country from childhood, the other only from the news: A colorful fairy tale from 1001 nights or a dark rogue state? Cosmopolitan high culture or introverted religious fundamentalism? Heart-warming hospitality or axis of evil? So what is Iran really like? In search of answers, Thorge Berger and Mehran Khadem-Awal travel 4000 kilometers through the country. They experience urban metropolises, dreamy mountain villages, the hottest desert in the world, deep blue seas and white beaches on the Persian Gulf. In

encounters, they get to know Iranians and their wishes, worries and hopes.

They show a misunderstood country and tell stories of sincere hospitality and warm-hearted people who love their homeland despite all adversity. In the process, they discover the opportunities that lie in open encounters between cultures - and thus also gain a deeper understanding of each other as friends.
