Kammer-Spiele. Mediterrane Perspektiven II

In 2025, the Neue Vocalsolisten are celebrating a special anniversary with the Kammer-Spiele series. The singers will present milestones from this repertoire in six concerts by the end of the year. In two concerts, the singers return to Mediterranean climes.

New vocal soloists

"T" stands for God, "O" for the Oceanus. Silvia Rosani draws attention to the refugee dramas taking place in the Mediterranean and at the same time opens up the horizon for "Mediterranean perspectives". For many years, the Neue Vocalsolisten have maintained an intensive exchange with composer-performers from the Mediterranean region - not least because the voice plays a very special role in Mediterranean musical cultures. Voices from Lampedusa, Cairo, Beirut, Damascus, Istanbul and Palestine paint a picture of a torn space, charged with conflicts and contrasts as well as common roots and longings, which threatens to break the world apart.
