We have fond memories of the Bremen University of the Arts Chamber Choir from its first concert, conducted by its charismatic founder Prof. Friederike Woebken. Since 2020, the ensemble has been led by Prof. Detlef Bratschke, who has the best qualifications for the job: As a boy, he sang as a soprano soloist in Gustav Leonhardt's complete Bach recording, later as an alto in the Orlando di Lasso Ensemble, and since 2002 he has been the artistic director of the Balthasar Neumann Choir alongside his teaching activities in Bremen. Together with his students, he has prepared an appealing program of Advent and Christmas choral music.
