"Here in potato country, there are exactly two kinds of foreigners: the conformists, who eat their kebab without onions and without spice, and the Kanaks, who laugh at them for it. You have to decide pretty early on who you want to be."
Dessi leads a double life: In Munich's hotspot district of Neuperlach, she plays the ace foreigner with jogging bottoms and Alman jokes; at the inner-city high school, Daisy wears a blonde wig, blue contact lenses and speaks High German. She keeps her boyfriends secret from each other. The tactic works - until one day she is caught by Bo. Bo is not only Dessi's neighbor, but also her classmate and now the only one who knows both of their personalities. Will their two worlds collide for good?
Anna Dimitrova was born in Sofia in 1998 and moved from Bulgaria to Germany with her family at the age of twelve. As a teenager, she began to adapt in both countries by turning the 'Kanak kid' in her on or off. She now works as a screenwriter.
