Katha Rosa
Katha Rosa from Hamburg is a singer and music author with a quarter of a million Spotify fans and ten million streams. Her song "Nein (Du kannst mir nicht wehtun)" about sexual violence in the family attracted a lot of media attention after its release on TikTok. ZDF, KiKa, RTL Nord and SAT1 reported on it, and successful producers Alex Christensen and Florian Arndt signed her to a contract. Her TikTok and Instagram videos attract a lot of attention.
"I don't see myself as an influencer," says Katha, "but my music influences the lives of my followers." She topped the Spotify viral charts in spring 2024 with "Schwarzer Hund", a song about depression. "I can only touch people's hearts in a lasting way if it comes from the heart," she explains. "Music can change society and heal wounds. I want people to feel seen and understood."
Her songs offer depth as well as hope and strength. In 2024, she is going on tour with Ben Zucker and Florian Künstler and has recorded the duet "Sorry" with Florian Künstler. Her single "Haus" (released in spring 2024) deals with the path from a dysfunctional past to a loving family of choice.
Katha Rosa is an important voice in the German music scene. While songs are written more and more for format and streamability, she raises her voice for topics that have been kept silent for too long. An artist who is the only one capable of creating impulses that resonate for a long time.
