König Ubu

To be a cucumber or a cactus - which strategy is the right one to survive? Two ladies decide to say goodbye to their niceness and practise their malice. To do so, they drag Alfred Jarry's bitter Punch and Judy grotesque about the greedy, cruel and cowardly King UBU and his no less evil wife onto the stage:

Mother UBU persuades Father UBU to assassinate the King of Pompolonia, take his place and enrich himself immeasurably. The assassination succeeds, UBU becomes king, gives presents to his people and cheats them, and slaughters his potential opponents out of the way.

And the ladies? They have to realize that even cacti die if they are watered too heavily...
