Konzert mit Aklyone

Duration

180 minutes

Alkyone is a versatile artist hailing from the picturesque mountains of Northern Greece. As a singer, songwriter and musician, she moves seamlessly between the Greek and English languages, blending indie-pop, film and folk elements in her unique musical sound. Drawing on her experience as a former choir member, Alkyone infuses her compositions and choral arrangements with the original and powerful essence of collective voices.

Her musical journey began in childhood, inspired by her father's love of folk music. She studied classical piano and began writing her own songs.

Alongside respected musicians such as Maria Farantouri, Thanasis Papakonstantinou, the Orchestra of Mikis Theodorakis and many others, she performed on various stages and mesmerized audiences with her distinct musical interpretation.

In May 2023, Alkyone presented her debut album "Exit Sign", which was highly acclaimed for its artistry. Alkyone sees music as a catalyst that can positively influence the world.

A cooperation between the Landesmuseum Württemberg and Kalimera e.V.

An event as part of the "Deine Dürnitz" project, which aims to promote the Dürnitz museum foyer as a place of encounter and exchange.
