LET IT BE

Location:
Theaterhaus, Siemensstr. 11, 70469 Stuttgart

The Beatles' last album was not a farewell, "Let It Be" was an obituary. Rough, unfinished but also angelic, a gentle melancholy sounded from the record groove: "Let it be, let it be, submit to your fate". The unbelieving pop world had no other choice, the titans had left the heaven of the gods, the Beatles were no more. Their legacy: Gigantic. Their magic: forever indomitable.

Their boundless stylistic diversity paved the way for the next pop decades.

50 years later, the dusty movie "Let It Be" is also set to experience a rebirth, reimagined and reworked. Star director Peter Jackson (Daniel Rohr) and his assistant (Silvester von Hösslin) are preparing for the London premiere of "Get Back" - the title of the new version - which trapped the two of them in the Beatles cosmos for three years. Material for the theater, written by author and Beatles specialist Oliver Kaiser - including the immortal hits "The Long And Winding Road", "Get Back", "Don't Let Me Down" and, of course, "Let It Be".
