Comedy ensemble BACKBLECH celebrates comeback with original cast
"Love hurts" and hurts and hurts and hurts no more
Anyone who thought that pop singers and ageing actors had a monopoly on poignant comebacks will be proven wrong here and now: The much-praised comedy ensemble BACKBLECH is celebrating a comeback, almost in its original line-up. Sigi Gall and Cherry Gehring, the two founding members, are back, with new guitarist Chessy Czesnat completing the illustrious line-up.
Great drama. Severe pain. Bitter tears. Loud screams. Deep longing. Hot hearts. Longing looks. Far too often far too little humor. All in all, our lives are a single, aching love. Isn't pain the logical consequence of a collision between man and woman?
There couldn't have been a better program than "Love hurts" to give BACKBLECH a new try in the original. The tools: the finest comedy craft with laugh-out-loud guarantee, catchy live music and this exclusive mixture is garnished with drama. Lots and lots of drama. All because nothing is more authentic than our lives.
"Love hurts" tells the interrelated story of a relationship between a woman and a man whose lowest common multiple is disappointed love and the resulting decision to avoid any further relationship. The non-conformity of this anti-relationship idea is of tremendous nonchalance, at the end of a clever evening we will all have not forgotten that we are actually laughing at ourselves.
