Markus Kavka & Elmar Giglinger

The first oral history about music television in Germany

MTViva liebt dich! is an exciting and nostalgic look back at 30 years of German music history - from the 90s to 2010. Presenter and editor Markus Kavka and MTV-und-VIVA ZWEI and VIVA TV program director Elmar Giglinger talk to many famous musicians and presenters from the very beginning: they embark on this unique journey through time with Fettes Brot, Die Ärzte, Scooter, Michael Patrick Kelly, Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, Joko Winterscheidt, Heike Makatsch, Nilz Bokelberg, Mola Adebisi, Die Toten Hosen and many more. Their entertaining stories - in front of and behind the camera - bring German music video culture to life.

A unique and unfiltered look behind the scenes of German music television.

Markus Kavka, born in Ingolstadt in 1967, started his music TV career at VIVA in 1995; in 1997 he switched to VIVA ZWEI. From 2000 to 2009, he was a presenter and producer at MTV Germany.
