Michael Feindler

Who is Michael Feindler? He has already been described as a "fine spirit of political cabaret", a "revolutionary poet", an "advocate of thick-board drilling" or simply a "great asset to cabaret". That may all be true. Nevertheless, such descriptions are only an approximation of the Feindler phenomenon. His texts are too close to reality to be satirical, he is too sensitive to be a sharp analyst of the times and he relies too often on the clarity of melody-free poetry to be a songwriter.
What's more, he is certainly entertaining, but not a solo entertainer - he enjoys talking to the audience too much for that. And those who praise him as a witty word acrobat quickly underestimate the seriousness of content that goes hand in hand with his linguistic playfulness. To describe him accurately, it is also of little help to outline Feindler's broad range of topics from "fear of decline" to "confidence in the future". The decisive factor is how he links his thoughts together.
Who Michael Feindler is is therefore best revealed live on stage. And the current program may be the last opportunity for anyone who wants to say: "I was there for his breakthrough."
