Mountaineers are still on the move in the high mountains surrounded by clouds of haze. Well equipped, they conquer the sublime landscape - nothing is important except the next summit. In recurring encounters, they consider partnerships that they soon forget, because nobody can remember faces up here. Unwavering optimism and dogmatic cheerfulness keep them on their feet and their emotions in check. For it has long been clear that something is changing - the glaciers are melting, the rock is crumbling and the supposed youth is inexorably slipping away between their fingers.
