NACHTSCHWÄRMERKONZERT: YOUNG AND FOOLISH

The Nachtschwärmerkonzerte concerts combine the BIX Jazzclub with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra. The focus here is on composed and improvised music, music for classical symphony orchestra or jazz trio, for string quartet and jazz quartet.

The Gustav-Siegle-Haus opens its doors from 18:00. The BIX gastronomy offers drinks and snacks, a jazz band welcomes guests from 19:30 in the foyer of the Siegle-Haus, before the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra continues in the main hall at 20:30. Later, the late night continues in a relaxed jazz club atmosphere with live music in the BIX.

22:00: BAND IN THE BIX feat. Libor Sima & Olaf Polziehn

With reference to the musical work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who unfortunately died far too young, the makers of the Band in the Bix have come up with a program that focuses on the so-called "youthful works" of well-known musicians. The late works of many famous composers are better known, and few pieces from their early creative phase have really become famous. Whether it is George Gershwin (who also died far too early), who, like his contemporary Cole Porter, wrote musicals at the age of 19, the jazz musicians of the golden age as rookies or the young Loreen Sima, who will not only be heard on the double bass, but will also present her first composition.

We are looking forward to this, as always, special selection of songs put together for this night owl concert.
