Born in North Carolina, she took her earliest musical steps in the gospel choir of the local church and has retained her "Deep South Soul" ever since. This came to the fore when she formed her band, which has since established itself as a true missionary of roots rock'n'roll: The passionate joy of playing and unfiltered energy merge furiously with the raw, earthy vocals and the breathtaking performance of the front woman, whose dynamics are reminiscent of the legendary acts from Stax Records.
