Former senior public prosecutor Kurt Schrimm in conversation with historian Prof. Dr. Robert Jütte

For more than 60 years, the Central Office of the State Justice Administrations in Ludwigsburg has been tasked with conducting preliminary investigations into National Socialist crimes. In recent years, more and more proceedings have been initiated against guards in concentration camps. The former head of the Central Office, Kurt Schrimm, was instrumental in initiating this development during his time in office (2000-2015). The discussion with historian Robert Jütte will address, among other things, the question of whether everything has been done objectively in the Federal Republic of Germany to legally come to terms with the Nazi era and the crimes committed by the National Socialists.

The event is part of the program accompanying the current special exhibition "Gestapo in Court. The persecution of Nazi criminals" at the Hotel Silber memorial site.
