You can find out in the public rehearsals, which last about an hour. The Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra sits in the stalls of the Gustav-Siegle-Haus, the audience in the gallery above. The entire orchestra cannot be seen from here. But you can look the conductor in the face and follow his communication with the Philharmoniker closely.
