That sounds so wonderful, that sounds so beautiful
Mozart's box-office hit no. 1 is a multi-layered mystery play in an oriental guise, allowing for a variety of interpretations ranging from magic fairy tale to Freemason opus, Enlightenment manifesto to Viennese folk comedy. Franziska Dannheim not only presents all the parts of an opera with her supple soprano voice, the Swabian-born singer also explains historical and musical contexts in a refreshingly relaxed manner, allowing the audience to sing the choruses or act out parts of the stage set. Whether infernal coloratura or "pa-pa-pa" chatter, Jeong-Min Kim is a congenial partner at the piano, whose virtuoso playing and sensitivity never misses the orchestral sound. The casual opera guide will delight beginners and connoisseurs alike. A program for the whole family.
Franziska Dannheim was born in Tübingen. She studied singing with Yukako Kinoya in Stuttgart and continued her training in Essen with Anita Salta. From 1998, she performed with the tango quintet "Primavera del Tango" and founded the music-comedy duo "Coco-lorez" with Carmela De Feo in 2000. In 2006, she returned to classical music; the opera légère, now a registered format, is at the heart of her work.
Jeong-Min Kim was born in Seoul and studied there at Song-Sim University. She graduated at the top of her class and moved to Europe in 1994 to attend Prof. Till Engels' master class at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. She graduated with distinction in 1997 and went on to study music education in Cologne. In addition to her teaching activities, she performs in various ensembles.
