. The Rock Symphony Orchestra is a huge orchestra consisting of a 130-piece symphony orchestra, rock band, large mixed choir and various soloists. You can hear spectacular songs - specially arranged by Wolfgang Roese for the large orchestra - by legends such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Supertramp, ABBA, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple and many more.
You can hear both purely symphonic and dramatic passages, while in the next moment a huge orchestra and the rock band are rocking towards the finale. The choir suddenly mutates from a rock ensemble to a moving opera choir that shines over the orchestra, only to end up immersed in the groove of the orchestra and band like a gospel choir.
Wolfgang Roese's aim is not to violate boundaries, but to cross them where the music itself builds a bridge. In doing so, he always has people in mind who all too often hide behind self-drawn boundaries and have no idea that they could also be welcome on the other side.
The extremely warm reception with unbridled cheering, frenetic applause and never-ending standing ovations in Freiburg, Stuttgart and Berlin made our tour in 2023 an unforgettable experience for all of us. We will build on this.
