A music theater piece for children by Jörg Schade and Franz-Georg Stähling

Jörg Schade as Papa Haydn
Conductor Ina Stoertzenbach

WHAT DOES A GIRAFFE SOUND LIKE?

The composer Joseph Haydn, also known as "Papa Haydn", has a big problem! He just can't come up with anything clever for his latest symphony, which is to be called "The Giraffe"! Can his musicians (colleagues) help him? They play excerpts from other "animal symphonies", for example "The Bear" and "The Hen"... but that's not it... He needs something new, something of his own for this "Giraffe"!...

So it's up to the audience! Together with them and the musicians, Papa Haydn sets off again in search of the right notes! Things get extremely turbulent, because to make matters worse, a mouse has nibbled on the music paper with the fresh note heads, and the other good note ideas suddenly take off on their own and flee! Papa Haydn is on the verge of a nervous breakdown! ...
A performance for the ear and the eye that presents classical music in a playful, witty and fun way!
