The Orchester Stuttgarter Musikfreunde e.V. (OSM) is a cross-generational amateur orchestra with members from the greater Stuttgart area. Founded 73 years ago, the orchestra has its rehearsal room in Stuttgart-Vaihingen and usually prepares two concert programs per year.

In its fall concert, the OSM will present works by Rota, Schubert and Saint-Saëns under the direction of Klaus Kulling. The soloist is Johann Schilf, trombonist from Stuttgart

Johann Schilf, born in 1988, studied trombone with Prof. Christhard Gössling at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin from 2008-2013, where he also received pedagogical training. He was a trainee in the Frankfurt (O.) State Orchestra in the 2012/13 season and gained experience in various cultural orchestras throughout Germany. In 2013, he moved to the Karlsruhe University of Music under Prof. Werner Schrietter, where he completed his studies in 2018 and has since worked as a soloist, orchestral musician and chamber musician in the Karlsruhe area. Since September 2023, he has been Deputy Headmaster of the Korntal-Münchingen Music School

Klaus Kulling has been musical director of the OSM since 2011. He has already led many collaborations with the orchestra, including with the Korntal-Münchingen music school. These include the "Musical Gala 2018" with soloists such as Kevin Tarte and Anna Hofbauer and the "Great Film Music Gala 2023". His repertoire ranges from classical symphony concerts to musical and film music.
