Robert Griess

Location:
Renitenztheater, Büchsenstr. 26, 70174 Stuttgart

Triple A cabaret: Topical. Ludicrous. Wacky.

Probably the last cabaret program in human history that was created entirely without artificial intelligence (AI). You should see it for that reason alone! No Google, no Tinder, no Metaverse.

Even before ChatGPT, natural intelligence was just as threatened with extinction as leopards, orcas and geriatric nurses. There are 25 billion chickens in the world, but only 1000 mountain gorillas left. Our children are getting dumber and dumber, adults are following populists and influencers are confusing the number of their followers with their IQ.

In view of the rampant stupidity of politicians, neighbors and ex-US presidents, who wouldn't want to constantly shout: "Lord, throw brains out of the sky!"

Robert Griess once again mobilizes all the reserves of natural intelligence and provides amusing and surprising answers to the big questions: Did God create us or is God the first AI invented by humans that has taken over? How do we want to live? Who do we want to be?

In the end, analog oldies and digital natives will have to decide: Would they rather be a fully cared-for chicken in a battery farm or one of the last mountain gorillas in freedom, threatened with extinction?

"Robert Griess' new program shows Natural Intelligence once again in dazzling form, just before it burns up." - Stephen Hawking (frontman of The Black Holes)

Robert Griess is one of the sharpest and funniest cabaret artists in Germany. According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper, he is the "quickest and cheekiest mouth in Cologne". The Süddeutsche Zeitung even writes: "When it comes to making the world a better place, Griess is the man of the hour!"

For 30 years, his motto has been: "Satire can be anything - except boring!" He always manages to entertain his audience with wit and relevance and to make things dance with incomparable humor.

Awards and prizes. On the road nationwide. Radio and TV appearances. Founder of the legendary "Schlachtplatte" ensemble. Author of books ("Köln", "Stappers Revolte"), screenplays ("Käpt'n Blaubär"), columns (e.g. manager-magazin, Handelsblatt, Brigitte) and plays. His work "Berlin@Play" was invited to the X. Theater Olympiad in Budapest in 2023. Lives alternately in Cologne and on ships.
