ROSENAU Poetry Slam

Poetry slam, the modern poetry competition, is the most popular form of cabaret in Germany. In Stuttgart, poetry slam is better assimilated than Kehrwoche and more popular than photos from Schlossplatz. Writers of all kinds meet on stage and perform their self-penned pieces. The lovingly selected line-up presents a brilliant smorgasbord of poetry slam styles: poetry, rap, cabaret, storytelling, beatbox, comedy and spoken word.

Everything that is possible with words has been taking place on the Rosenau Slam stage for over 20 years. The audience decides who wins. The German-speaking stars of the scene, the literary debutants and after-work poets, have seven minutes to convince the audience.
