Prague Festival Ballet presents
Swan Lake
An evil sorcerer has turned the beautiful young princess Odette into a swan when she ventured too close to the shore of his lake. Near the lake is an old castle where a beautiful princess lives with her son Siegfried. Prince Siegfried feels magically attracted to the beautiful swans in the lake. He has no idea that they are actually young girls who have all been transformed into swans by the evil sorcerer and who always take on human form for an hour at midnight. Prince Siegfried falls in love with Princess Odette and learns the secret of her transformation from her, and that she can only be released from the spell through the love and loyalty of a man...
So begins the beautiful fairy tale of Swan Lake, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's most beloved ballet classic. Swan Lake is the most popular ballet of all. For many, it has become synonymous with ballet. In addition, the music to Swan Lake is one of the most beautiful ballet scores par excellence.
The Prague Festival Ballet, which has been a guest on all European stages for many years, takes us into the wonderland of the playful and romantic, fairytale-like and dreamy, which should be part of every child's dream! The new choreography remains entirely in the traditional style of the famous first choreographer of Swan Lake, Marius Petipa, who is generally regarded as the father of classical ballet.
