with members of the SWR Symphony Orchestra at the Liederhalle Stuttgart

All waltzes?! Members of the SWR Symphony Orchestra play works by Johannes Brahms and Johann Strauss (son).

Good, sophisticated, classical light music in the 19th century? Johann Strauss (son) in particular made sure of that. Johannes Brahms, who envied Strauss for his "On the Beautiful Blue Danube" melody, also created lively, cheeky and elegiac evergreens with his Hungarian dances and waltzes. The two crossed paths in Baden-Baden, the cultural metropolis of the time, and also met in private. This concert for senior citizens is a musical coffee party with lively works by the Viennese waltz king and the versatile Johannes Brahms. Two weeks before the concert, groups with at least 7 participants will receive a "music treasure chest" with ideas for preparing for the concert.
