The magical colors of the classical symphony - with only six musicians! Joseph Haydn's good friend Peter Salomon rewrote twelve of Haydn's most popular symphonies as chamber music, making it possible to enjoy them as house music.
This powerful music is rarely heard so close and alive: The Rosentaler Ensemble creates a unique sound with suitable historical instruments and historical playing techniques that take into account the wit and originality of playing practice around 1800. In addition to Haydn's Symphonies No. 102 and No. 104, works by two other classical masters are heard - those of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, who grew up in Leipzig, and the unbeatable Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Early music concert series
The concert series at the Haus der Musik starts its sixth season. The line-up includes top-class international ensembles and musicians. Renowned lecturers from the Trossingen University of Music present wonderful programs. Other well-known national and regional ensembles as well as offerings from the Stuttgart music academies round off the extensive program, which of course also includes live performances of the historical keyboard instruments of the Württemberg State Museum.
