Scenic reading with students of Modern German Literature at the University of Stuttgart in the Dreigroschentheater.

Sonntagskinder by Gerlind Reinshagen (1926-2019) is about young people in the period from 1939 to 1945. From their town, they experience the Second World War and are confronted with the National Socialist power structure and the effects of the war.

Under the direction of Axel Brauch and Annette Bühler-Dietrich, students from the University of Stuttgart have rehearsed an abridged version of the play.

The play, which premiered in Stuttgart in 1976, has lost none of its topicality.

Gerlind Reinshagen was one of the most successful authors of the 1960s and 1970s - but her works have been forgotten. This production was created on the occasion of a conference on her work.
