The members of the vocal ensemble ANIMA, founded in St. Petersburg in 1992, are all graduates of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. The ensemble's artistic motto is to offer the broadest possible repertoire, ranging from Gregorian chorales to contemporary music.
Two weeks before Easter, sacred psalms and Byzantine chants, works by Bortniansky, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Arensky and others as well as Russian and Ukrainian folk tunes will be performed in St. Peter's Church.
Admission is free. Donations to cover the costs are requested.
