Singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, child prodigy - Steven Wilson is a musical genius. With his huge musical output as a solo musician and with his band Porcupine Tree, which reunited for a reunion tour last year after their actual break-up in 2010, he reliably reaches the top of the British charts and releases experimental music that harmoniously spices up the rock genre with electronic elements. Influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin and Yes, the Brit began making his own music at an early age and became part of numerous band projects and constellations over the years before devoting himself to his own solo career. Since his solo debut album "Insurgentes" from 2008, his works have pursued a conceptual approach and lyrically often take place in the context of social criticism and a not-so-rosy view of the world. The Brit's eighth album is now on the horizon. "The Overview" is due to be released at the beginning of 2025 - and, unlike the previous albums "The Future Bites" and "The Harmony Codey", will be celebrated with an extensive tour. "The Overview Tour" will be the first Steven Wilson tour in seven years and will also make five stops in Germany. In a statement, the musician reveals what visitors can expect on the tour: "The Overview Tour will be an audiovisual experience based on the forthcoming new release of the same name: an album on the theme of outer space, containing only two very long pieces. I will also be playing music from 'The Harmony Codex' for the first time, as well as songs from all my previous albums."
