From 14.11. to 1.12.2024, the city of Stuttgart will be all about making and reading books. Around 150 German-language publishers will be presenting highlights from their publishing program in the Haus der Wirtschaft. There will also be an extensive program of events with readings and workshops.
The line-up for the Stuttgart Book Weeks in 2024 features some big names: Guests include Isabel Bogdan, Alex Capus, Julia Dippel, Gregor Gysi, Harald Martenstein, Nele Neuhaus, Caroline Peters and Denis Scheck. Christine Westermann and Mona Ameziane will present their podcast "Zwei Seiten" live. Italian crime fiction star Fabio Stassi is expected to attend the opening of the Book Weeks.
For the 74th time, the Stuttgart Book Weeks are inviting children, young people and adults to browse and discover under the motto "Books can do something". At the request of the public, a book sale will take place at the exit of the exhibition for the first time. The local booksellers are involved in an advertising concept for the regional book trade. This supports the local economy and helps to maintain the city's cultural diversity.
