Book launch with Elke Martin With words of welcome from Daniel Strauß, Chairman of the Baden-Württemberg State Association of the Association of German Sinti and Roma (inquired) and Peter Grohmann, Die AnStifter

The discrimination and marginalization of Sinti and Roma in Germany is old. It existed both before 1933 and after 1945, and Elke Martin has now summarized the results of her research in a brochure. She has compiled sources from the Stuttgart City Archive and other archives that show the history of persecution of Sinti and Roma in Stuttgart. This is the first time that a previously neglected field of research has been opened up that has never been investigated at a local level.

Elke Martin is a member of the board of the "Signs of Remembrance" memorial and has been a volunteer with the citizens' project AnStifter since 2002; she has been working on the subject of National Socialism for many years. Her work focuses on the topic of Sinti and Roma in Stuttgart and researching the Stuttgart victims of the murder of the sick.
