The permanent exhibition "Stuttgart City Stories" sheds light on the city's history from the end of the 18th century to the present day from a variety of perspectives

, with the huge city model turning present-day Stuttgart into a multi-media experience. In the city talks about freedom of the press, electrification or hip-hop, the people of Stuttgart from back then have their say in radio plays and exciting objects. The interactive stations "Geist" and "Gestalt" allow buildings and things from Stuttgart to tell their story - from Filderkohl to Solitude Palace. Pieces from the last 200 years of Stuttgart's past unfold their authentic magic in the Century Rooms

, where everything revolves around the questions: What makes Stuttgart so special? What were and are the people of Stuttgart like? And how does one actually become a Stuttgarter?
