SCHOOL CLASS READING: Comic reading, talk and live drawing About life: About Neighborhood Bea Davis
In "Super-Gau", Bea Davies sheds light on the devastating events of the 2011 Fukushima disaster in a unique way. Artful drawings and a cleverly interwoven narrative tell the story of eight people in Japan and Berlin whose lives are connected in surprising ways by the events of March 11, 2011.
Bea Davies wants to start a conversation with the audience about "neighborhood": Who are our neighbors? Who do we regularly perceive but don't even know? It's about how we perceive the people who live around us. These neighbors will then be drawn.
Bea Davies, born in Italy, is a freelance illustrator and comic artist based in Berlin.
