The Great Guitars:
Guitar virtuosos Bireli Lagrene, Martin Taylor and Ulf Wakenius create musical magic with "one night, three award-winning guitarists and eighteen strings".

The colorful legacy of The Great Guitars™ dates back to the 1970s, when the legendary jazz guitarists of the era toured and recorded together around the world. Award-winning guitarist Martin Taylor, who became part of the original group with the legendary Barney Kessel and Charlie Byrd in the 1980s in place of Herb Ellis, has reworked the format for the 21st century, enlisting two of today's finest jazz guitarists to collaborate on a brilliant program that offers guitar artistry, emotion, humor and musical fireworks.

Combining Taylor's award-winning virtuosic fingerstyle with Lagrene's breathtaking technique and Wakenius' incredible musical versatility, the concert features solos, duets and trios from these three recognized masters of fingerstyle, jazz and gypsy guitar. Together, these three guitar greats have collaborated with artists from Tommy Emmanuel to David Grisman, from Donald Fagen to Wynton Marsalis and from Bonnie Raitt to Bob Dylan.
