The Hooters - 45th Anniversary Tour
THE HOOTERS are coming back to Germany after the great success of the summer tours in recent years. In June and July 2024, they will once again thrill audiences in 20 cities under the motto "More Rocking, More Swing". In 2023, THE HOOTERS released a new album after a long time. "Rocking & Swing" takes us back to the band's roots in the early 80s with 8 tracks plus a bonus live track. With their unique blend of ska, reggae and rock, recorded at the Keswick Theatre in November 2022, they have prepared a real treat for their fans, especially with the first recording of some early songs that they performed live at their club concerts in the early days. In 1983, they released their first independent album "Amore", which included one of their biggest hits, "All You Zombies". By 1986, THE HOOTERS already had four hit singles under their belt and were touring almost non-stop. A year earlier, the band was still relatively unknown, but was now sharing stages with artists such as U2, The Police, Bryan Adams, Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel. In 1987, THE HOOTERS released "One Way Home", which included the famous hit "Johnny B" and the song "Satellite". Further albums followed. After numerous tours, THE HOOTERS decided to take a well-deserved break in 1995 and concentrate on various solo projects. Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian put their talents as musicians and songwriters at the disposal of other artists, including Mick Jagger, Joan Osborne ("One of us"), John Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams ("Old before I die") and Cyndi Lauper ("Time after Time"). From the beginning of the 2000s, the band continued with a new line-up and great success, especially in Europe, with many tours and releases. Since then, THE HOOTERS have been touring regularly and for long periods.
