Thomas Freitag

Location:
Renitenztheater, Büchsenstr. 26, 70174 Stuttgart

Thomas Freitag's new program marks the end of the road.
Because the former dreams of the future of the post-war child Thomas have now turned into nightmares - and the anger about this does not leave him cold. With his enormous acting talent, his experience and his age, he takes the audience by the hand and leads them on his "retreat across the mines of the plain".
If he plays the monkey in a Kafkaesque manner, it is only because he wants to confront the seriousness of life with the cheerfulness of art.
He exposes the human hubris of feeling fundamentally superior to animals. Humans are not poor creatures just because they cannot cope with digital achievements, AI, addictive substances, wealth and honor. But he is the one who immediately follows every positive achievement with abuse - no pig would do such a thing.
So some people get their heads washed again. But not the brain, because it seems that others have already done all the work there.
And since Thomas Freitag's parodies are legendary, the grandees from heaven naturally also have their say - because they suffer the most from the current ground staff. So if you want to experience this great quick-change artist once again, you shouldn't miss this program.
