TOTO - The Dogz of Oz World Tour 2025 - Special Guest: Christopher Cross
40,000 enthusiastic fans attended the critically acclaimed shows of TOTO aka The Dogz of Oz in summer 2024 in Germany alone. Now the legendary band has announced their return to Germany.
Steve Lukather (guitar/vocals) and Joseph Williams (vocals) will be joined by Greg Phillinganes (keyboards/vocals), Shannon Forrest (drums), John Pierce (bass), Warren Ham (horns/percussion/vocals) and Dennis Atlas (keyboards/vocals).
Toto couldn't be prouder to announce that "Africa" has been certified Diamond status by the RIAA in the United States for sales of ten million copies. Current cumulative sales of the song now exceed 10.5 million. In addition, "Hold The Line" has been certified triple platinum for sales of three million copies. Current sales exceed 3.5 million. Finally, "Rosanna" was certified double platinum for two million copies sold. Cumulative album sales now exceed 50 million.
In the world of streaming, the band's repertoire is played more than three million times a day on Spotify alone by an audience that is getting younger by the month. In July, 52% of all streams were by people aged 34 or younger. The number of discoveries on a global scale is increasing significantly year on year. Cumulative streaming on Spotify now exceeds 4 billion plays, with cumulative views across all platforms approaching 6 billion plays.
The band has undoubtedly experienced a renaissance in popularity like few artists have at this point in their career. The Dogz of Oz continue to expand their geographic reach with plans to return to Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico and a very special performance in Mexico City in November as one of the Corona Capital headliners.
The band's pedigree can be heard both individually and collectively on an astounding 5000 albums, totaling half a billion album sales. These recordings have been recognized by NARAS with hundreds of Grammy nominations. They are part of pop culture and are one of the few bands of the 70's that have outlasted the changing trends and styles and are still relevant.
Special guest Christopher Cross and the members of Toto have been friends and collaborators for more than four decades. On September 1, they performed together in front of a large audience at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Christopher Cross rose to fame in 1980 with his self-titled debut album and won five Grammy Awards, including - for the first time in Grammy history - the four most important awards: Record of the Year (for the single "Sailing"), Album of the Year, Song of the Year ("Sailing") and Best New Artist. In a career spanning more than four decades, Cross has sold more than 12 million albums. His music has been honored with five Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy nomination and five Top 10 singles.
