Exhibition by Julia B. Nowikowa

With the exhibition "ÜBER LEBEN - Bücher Leben", Berlin artist Julia B. Nowikowa stages books as expansive objects. In this way, visitors to the literature festival can not only see and hear, but also touch and sensually perceive them. In the foyer of the Literaturhaus, she has placed an oversized, walk-in book with pages that can be turned - an object that is constantly changing as visitors walk through it. In terms of content, the exhibition takes up the themes of the festival in the form of quotations, text passages, pictures, drawings and paintings.

The German-Russian artist Julia B. Novikova was born in St. Petersburg, studied in Hamburg and lives in Berlin. Her artistic work includes stage design, painting and illustration. She works for various theater ensembles and publishing houses and illustrates the covers of Nino Haratischwili's books.

The exhibition can be viewed before and after the events and by appointment by calling 0711 / 22 02 173.
