VERMEER - Meister des Lichts

Location:
Schleyer-Halle Saal 4 Stuttgart, Mercedesstraße 69, 70372 Stuttgart

World premiere in Stuttgart:

The immersive exhibition VERMEER - MASTER OF LIGHT is a digital journey into the Dutch Golden Age (Dutch Era).
The history and life of the seafaring nation, which was a major world power in the 17th century and a leader in the fields of painting, science and business and was one of the richest countries in the world, is told through Jan Vermeer's expressive paintings on an exciting journey through several rooms.
The use of modern technology to create immersive and personalized experiences enables a new way of enjoying art, in which the dialogue between the audience and Vermeer's works is no longer one-sided, but becomes a truly interactive exchange.
Large projections of the predominantly small-format paintings show Vermeer's unique eye for detail. Everyday moments, shiny fabrics, shadows or a letter on a table, are transformed around the viewer into almost living paintings. Vermeer turns the everyday into the extraordinary. With initially inconspicuous domestic scenes, he captures our attention in an incomparable way and gives us an intimate insight into life over 350 years ago.

This immersive art experience is the first to show the complete works of one of the world's most esteemed and important Dutch artists!
