Hard beats and catchy melodies meet fragile tones and traditional instruments such as the charango and pan flute, which make the vastness of the Andes and the history of Chile tangible.
Victor has a personal connection to the Nueva Canción movement, as his father was a spokesman for this socio-political movement who opposed the Pinochet dictatorship and eventually had to flee into exile. In his debut album "Unidos", Victor deals with the death of his father and allows his legacy and his own relationship to his native Chile to live on through music. With the central message "Vamos Unidos", he takes up the ideals of the Nueva Canción: Friendship, love, hope and equality.
This message is palpable at his live shows: together with ten musician friends, Victor brings this atmospheric yet catchy music to life. In addition to the rhythm section and backing vocalists, the ensemble also includes traditional Chilean instruments such as the charango, quena and zampoña.
