EXHIBITION MALA REINHARDT & PATRICK LOHSE Vernisaage & panel discussion: 12.12.24 18.00 HRS Finissage & reading 09.01.25.18.00 HRS Duration: 11.11.24- 09.01.25 (Fri 16-18 or by appointment)

The exhibition "Viva Alemania" by Mala Reinhardt and Patrick Lohse questions the discourse surrounding planned monuments to so-called guest workers in Germany. The starting point for their artistic research was the reception of Armando Rodrigues de Sá as the "one millionth guest worker" in Cologne in 1964. The resulting photographs have since become a
visual monument in their own right. The exhibition questions the German self-image of migration and the idea of a monument as a concept of remembrance.
