VOCES8, one of the world's leading English vocal ensembles, is coming to Germany and we are celebrating its 20th anniversary with the "Twenty!" program. The ensemble's extensive repertoire includes pieces from the early English and continental Renaissance, traditional folk songs, classical jazz, pop and their own arrangements. The British a cappella ensemble presents an inspiring program with music from all centuries, such as Ola Gjeilo's "Ubi caritas", Elgar's "Lux Aeterna" and Kate Rusby's "Underneath the Stars" and many more. The London-based group tours worldwide, both with their a cappella concerts and in collaboration with leading musicians, orchestras and conductors. Since its formation, VOCES8 has performed at all major festivals and in many prestigious concert halls, including Wigmore Hall, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Sydney Opera House, the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall and many others. The popularity of the eight singers, especially among young audiences, is remarkable. They can also be heard on international television and radio. The British ensemble received a Grammy nomination in 2023 for the recording of Christopher Tin's "The Lost Birds" with VOCES8 and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
