A forest symphony in which people have to find their place anew.
By Miriam V. Lesch
With Schirin Brendel, Mariam Jincharadze, Britta Scheerer, Stefan Maaß
Director: Dieter Nelle
Set: Stefan Morgenstern
One day, trees suddenly grow overnight in the cities. They grow strong and mighty on balconies, in the streets, on the houses. Traffic collapses, pedestrian zones become impassable and the horticultural authorities don't know what to do. And not just in Germany, no, all over Europe!
Miriam Lesch creates absurd situations in which Bambi, Caesar and the Roman chronicler Pliny appear side by side as a matter of course. She ensures that the play uses subtle humor to deal with very topical issues such as the climate catastrophe, the consequences of the Anthropocene and ecological ethics. And all in a poetic language that effortlessly lets the forest itself speak as trees, mushrooms and beetles.
"Director Dieter Nelle has succeeded in creating a lively and entertaining interplay." StZ, 28.02.25
