Bach Christmas Oratorio I-VI BWV 248
Bach's Christmas Oratorio is as much a part of Christmas as "All I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carey or "Last Christmas" by Wham! Cantatas I to VI tell the story of Christ's birth to the high visit of the Three Wise Men. Bach reaches deep into the baroque compositional bag of tricks and unleashes music that could hardly be more splendid, even in this day and age. A real festive atmosphere is created here!
