The semi-detached house by Le Corbusier, one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, illustrates the aesthetic, social and technical upheavals of modernism

and is now open to the public following extensive restoration of the interiors, façades and garden. The tour takes visitors through two halves of the building, each with a different focus.

House 1: Exhibition

In the left-hand half of the house, the layout of which has been radically altered since the 1930s, an exhibition provides information about the origins and history of the Weissenhof Estate. The museum furnishings were created as an "echo" of the original floor plan, without blurring the traces of structural changes.

House 3: Walk-in exhibit

The right-hand side of the house is based on the period of 1927, when the Werkbund exhibition was opened at Weissenhof: Le Corbusier's room layout, the color scheme and some of the furnishings have been recreated. Visitors can thus experience a snapshot of the exhibition at that time.
