This is already the third CD recording by the idiosyncratic drummer and percussionist Bernd Settelmeyer and his band. In addition to instrumental tracks, there are also pieces with German lyrics in laconic atmospheres from interstellar space, here on earth.

"DREH DICH UM" is the name of the new program and the accompanying CD.
The concerts of SPUTNIK 27 have always opened up an exciting cosmos of sounds, grooves, different moods and great joy of playing.
The band will present itself in a new line-up for the first time at the Winter Jazz Festival.
The fact that all the musicians involved are extremely flexible stylistically makes it possible to incorporate very different influences into the music.
Communication and empathy, original compositions and the improvisational skills of the musicians are further building blocks for this
music.
A sound that appeals to a wide range of sensory impressions and ensures an intense musical experience.

Trio Blastonal & HF - exciting and surprising

In the wintry greyness of February, the body's defenses drop, depression increases and flu-like infections are the order of the day.

Only one thing can help here: Eberhard Budziat, jazz trombonist and composer from the Rems Valley, invites you to "tuba!tuba" with his ensemble Trio Blastonal on Sunday, 23.02.2025 at the Diakonissenbunker in the west of Stuttgart.

Every bar is a surprise: the musicians combine 12-tone, folk and world music into a single unit, creating sound experiences that have rarely been heard before. With mutes that sometimes sound like trumpets, with grunts and smacks, the brass is plowed in such a way that the shouts of joy of the liberated tuba waft from the stage into the hall.

Trio Blastonal are three wind players and a percussionist who experiment with great joy and playfulness, inspiring and challenging each other. Improvisation and the joy of discovery are their common multiplicity.
